UAW Local 2166 1st Vice President—Sharon Brock

Sharon Brock was re-elected to the office of 1st Vice President. She has served as Women’s Committee Chairperson 1994-1997, 2nd Vice President 1997-2000, 1st Vice-President 2000-present. She’s currently in charge of overseeing all activities of the Standing Committees and assisting President Johnson in his duties. She works in Stamping on 2nd shift.

Sharon currently serves as President of the Shreve Memorial Library Board of Directors, United Way Board, Workforce Investment Board, Southern University at Shreveport Foundation, Democratic Executive Committee—Caddo Parish.

In her spare time Sharon enjoys spending time with her daughter, Karly and grandson William.

Sharon believes the most important goals for unions today: “Education of membership on issues relating to Health Care and Job Security and being politically active on these issues.”
