Educate Yourself Application of Corporate Seniority (Formerly Appendix D-1) A—Employees who are moved to a secondary plant in accordance with this Memorandum, while retaining unbroken seniority in their base plant, shall establish seniority in such secondary plant as follows: 1—Employees with seniority dates of January 7, 1985 or earlier will establish an adjusted plant seniority date of January 7, 1985. 2—When two (2) or more employees establish the same plant seniority date pursuant to Paragraph (1) above, the date established for each employee for vacation under Paragraph (190) of the National Agreement will be used to determine seniority preference among such employees. 3—Employees with seniority dates subsequent to January 7, 1985 will establish that subsequent date as their plant seniority date. Local Agreement Team Meetings 11—The team secretary will furnish the committeeperson with changes in team rules, regulations, or function assignments. The Group Leader will make certain this duty is carried out in a timely manner. Within thirty (30) days after receipt of notice of ratification, teams will meet to record their rules, regulations, and functions. Thereafter, teams will include team rules as an agenda item, and will meet during the months of December and June to review their rules, regulations, and functions, and make appropriate changes if desired. Team positions filled during the months of December and June will be filled utilizing the then current rules. Team rule changes are final and binding once they have been decided by the members present. These rules will become effective the following January 1 and July 1 of each year, respectively. If the team does not turn in any rules during this time, the team rules turned in previously remain in effect. Team rules will not conflict with the National or Local Agreements. Copies of team meeting minutes will be made available to committeepersons on request. Copies of team rules will be made available to potential 63B transfers upon request. Payroll for July Shutdown: Due to the plant shutdown from June 30 – July 11, 2008, all payroll checks and direct deposits for the following weeks will
be mailed directly from the print center in Michigan: Downtime: No downtime scheduled as of June 19, 2008. Seniority, Vacation Entitlement & Wages: Delphi, Guide & Inteva employees who have currently transferred to Shreveport, LA will acquire GM seniority on the date of hire at this location and will receive a new plant seniority date that is effective as of the date of hire. The new plant seniority date will also be the date used in the administration of Appendix A, Memorandum of Understanding – Employee Placement in the GM-UAW National Agreement. Initial Vacation Entitlement at GM will be the same as it was at your former plant as of the date immediately prior to transfer. Employees will receive a wage rate in the same progression as they were already at in accordance with Paragraph 98 of the GM-UAW National Agreement. Temporary and Entry Level Employees: Wages
Entry Level Employees: The random computer drawing will take place no later than Wednesday, June 25, 2008. All who passed will be included in the drawing. There are approximately eighty-nine (89) people remaining to have a physical that will also be included in the drawing. Re-District: Nomination dates for the affected districts will be posted the first week of return from shutdown. Laid Off Division II: All Division II employees are scheduled to return June 23, 2008.
