Local 2166 Retiree meeting was held on March 11, 2008.

On March 15th a UAW Women’s Conference was held at the Union Hall.

Our Retiree Chapter will be forming a women’s basketball team. Contact Lois Harris, Vice Chairperson for more information.

On April 8th a retiree seminar will be held in Arlington, Texas. Brother Melvin Reed, Robert Hall, John Jackson, Sister Vivian Harmon and Willie Maw Joyner will be attending this seminar.

Join us June 14th at our retiree picnic for food, fun and games at the Union Hall. It was brought to our attention that the raise for the retirees should be paid in the April check with retroactive payments. Chairman Will will request a benefits representative attend the next meeting. If you have any questions concerning your benefits, please attend this meeting. There will also be a speaker from the Shreveport police department to discuss fraud detection.

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Sister Lillie Bell, March 16th and to all born in the month of March.

Special prayers and get well wishes go out to Brothers W. C. Walker, Jessie Francis and Leonard Ross.

Retiree meeting is held the second Tuesday of each month. These are very informative meetings. For those who have not gotten involved, come out and join us and bring a covered dish. Each member is requested to bring some type of dish for food, fun and fellowship. We hope to see you there.

The remaining membership dates are: April 8th, May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, August 12th, September 9th, October 14th, November 11th, & December 9th.
